DKP Policies (submitted by Sark at 05:43pm EDT)

Serenity will be using a modified zero sum DKP loot distribution system. What this means is that every time an item is purchased during a raid, everyone in the raid and on standby will receive an equal amount of DKP totaling the purchase price. A preset amount of DKP will also be awarded for Battlekeep raids since no loot is involved.

How it works

The person with the highest DKP receives the loot.

There are other things that factor into this however and can increase someone's priority level for obtaining loot. These rules are in place in order to facilitate our level of progression through the raid content. The faster we progress, the more loot that is available for everyone. In order of precedence:

1. Non-optimal loot for the class/spec. An example of this would be a tank class interested in purchasing an item that is intended for a melee DPS class. The DPS class would have priority for the item even if the tank had more DKP.

3. Alts will always have lowest priority, followed by normal members, followed by raiders.

4. /random. All other things being equal, this will be the tie breaker.

Attendance

Members of the Raider rank are required to have at least 50% raid attendance.

Attendance snapshots will be taken at the start of each raid and each time loot is received. Attendance will as be taken at regular intervals while learning an encounter and triple attendance will be given for first time kills. This will generally create higher attendance for players on progression nights, which is intended since less DKP will typically be awarded on these nights.

Stand By

In the event that there are more than the maximum people needed for a raid, extra players will be able to stay on standby and earn full DKP and attendance for the raid as long as they are online and ready to join the raid if needed.

Priority for raid attendees will go to members of the Raider rank.

Loot Prices

In the interest of keeping things simple:

100 DKP will be charged for Tier One items
200 DKP will be charged for Tier Two items

Disputes

Please remember that we are not perfect and DKP can be a complex system. Please work with us to make sure that your standings remain accurate and immediately report any problems on this forum thread. Please note that NO DKP disputes will be handled during raid time under any circumstances, these must be taken care of prior to the raid starting.
